This hits 1 in 5 of us, and mostly women, around this time of year...



If you've been gaining weight over the last few weeks and have no idea why, you may have the holiday blues! Interesting to read that 1 in 5 of us are pretty down during the holidays. They're calling it the winter or holiday "blues." A lot of it has to do with the lack of sunlight.

Symptoms: Anxiety, weight gain, lack of energy and withdrawal.

This affects women and young people most, and those living at higher altitudes.

Solution: Get out in the sun, or use a light box for at least 20 to 30 minutes per day, according to this article. Take some vitamin D and exercise. If it persists, get some professional help.
