The Rolling Stones are still capable of breaking out a surprise performance here and there, and that's exactly what they did Tuesday night at their second of three shows at the Tokyo Dome.
With Mick Taylor on guitar, just like he was on the original, they played "Silver Train" for the first time in 40 years. The song was on their 1973 album Goats Head Soup, and the only time they ever performed it was over four shows in one week in September 1973. The song was voted for by fans on RollingStones.com, on the band’s official app and on their numerous pages across social media sites.
The Stones wrap up the Japan leg of their 14 on Fire tour on Thursday with their 28th show at the Dome.
