Cary Police Release Sketch of Sexual Assault Suspect

CARY, NC – The Town of Cary Police Department is releasing this composite of the suspect believed to have committed sexual assault on a 20-year-old woman over the weekend. He is described as a clean-shaven, light skinned black male, 6’1”, weighing 200 pounds, with short black hair and pronounced green eyes that could be contacts. At the time of the incident, he was driving a red or burgundy SUV.

Crime Stoppers pays up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of those responsible for committing certain types of crimes. At about 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, police responded to the Hawthorne at the Parkway complex in Cary where a 20-year-old woman reported that a man who had been behind her in traffic followed her home, pulled up to her in the parking lot and warned her of damage to her vehicle. After thanking him she headed to her apartment, where the same man pushed her inside as she was unlocking the door and sexually assaulted her.
